A Real Estate Settlement does not have to be a confusing process. We strive to make your settlement experience a pleasant one and to answer all of your questions with straight-forward and simple explanations. When you are finished you will know that your settlement was handled professionally and you will understand all of the charges on your settlement statement.

Many settlement firms add numerous confusing and hidden charges. Our policy is to impose one settlement charge for all our settlement services and only add the costs incurred for any additional expenses. You will be charged a settlement fee of between $300 and $350 depending on whether your settlement is a refinance or a purchase, and the only additional fees will be for the cost of a title abstract, federal express fees, a bank wire fee and the cost of faxes and copies. There will also be a small fee for releasing your existing mortgage, if necessary. We do not charge for our notary service, our title review or any attorney fees in connection with the transaction. These services are all included in your settlement fee.

My paralegal, Serena Wood, has over 10 years experience in the settlement process, and will answer any questions you may have prior to settlement and assist you in scheduling your settlement and obtaining all of the necessary documents. If you are refinancing an existing title insurance policy the title insurance your lender requires will be issued at a renewal rate, thereby saving you 40% of the title insurance fees. Many title companies co not offer or make their clients aware of this discount. Please advise Mrs. Wood if you have an existing policy so that you can take advantage of this reduced rate.
